IZOD IndyCar fans can own top IndyCar stars autographed race gloves through the ‘With you Japan’ online charity auction at http://www.charitybuzz.com/withyoujapan. The two-part auction, being held in conjunction with the IZOD IndyCar race season, is now live on Charitybuzz.com. Proceeds from this event will directly benefit children in Japan who continue to rebuild their lives after the March 2011 earthquakes and tsunami.

Each pair of authentic autographed race gloves were worn by the driver’s during the exciting IZOD IndyCar race season and beautifully set in a solid wood frame.

Auction Part One: September 21 through October 5.
Auction Part Two: October 6 through October 20.

Auction Part One will offer gloves generously donated by the following driver’s: Dario Franchitti, Danica Patrick, Tony Kanaan, Marco Andretti, Takuma Sato, Alex Tagliani, Scott Dixon, Ryan Briscoe, Justin Wilson, Graham Rahal, Simona de Silvestro, Charlie Kimball, Townsend Bell, Ana Beatriz, Bertrand Baguette & Roger Yasukawa.

The program’s effort to launch this online auction began at the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in March as Takuma Sato, a Japanese IndyCar Driver and Founder of “With you Japan” program, asked IndyCar driver’s to show their support by donating their autographed race gloves to auction off to worldwide race fans through Charitybuzz.com. Gloves were chosen to symbolize the hands of friendship between the USA and Japan.

Takuma Sato commented, “We are very pleased to launch this online charity auction. It is not that often that fans get the chance to own their favorite driver’s gloves while also contributing to a greater cause of supporting innocent children who need help to rebuild their lives. I am thankful for the drivers generous support and for the racing community to come together for a great cause.”

This international fund-raising program’s mission is to bring attention to the devastating real-life issues thousands of children are experiencing and raising proceeds to empower local childcare professionals provide longer-term emotional, mental and physical care.
